Terms & Conditions
Please read these terms carefully before using the Urgent Care Online platform.
Effective Date: April 15, 2026 | Last Updated: April 15, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Urgent Care Online website and telehealth platform at urgent-care-online.com ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Platform. "You" and "User" refer to any individual who accesses or uses the Platform.
2. Description of Services
Urgent Care Online is a telehealth platform that facilitates virtual consultations between patients and independent, board-certified physicians for non-life-threatening medical conditions. Our services include:
- Secure video consultations with licensed physicians
- Electronic prescriptions (non-controlled substances only)
- Lab and test referrals
- Follow-up care coordination
- Pharmacy coordination for prescription fulfillment
Important: Urgent Care Online is a technology platform. We facilitate the connection between patients and independent medical providers. The medical providers are solely responsible for the medical advice, diagnoses, and treatment they provide. Urgent Care Online does not itself practice medicine.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account and use the Platform independently. Parents or legal guardians may create accounts on behalf of minors aged 2 and older and consent to telehealth services on their behalf. You must provide accurate, complete information during registration and maintain the accuracy of your account information.
4. Not for Emergencies
THE PLATFORM IS NOT INTENDED FOR MEDICAL EMERGENCIES. If you are experiencing a medical emergency — including but not limited to chest pain, difficulty breathing, severe bleeding, loss of consciousness, suspected stroke, or any other life-threatening condition — immediately call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. Do not use this Platform in an emergency.
5. User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
6. Telehealth Consent
By using our telehealth services, you acknowledge and agree that:
- Telehealth involves the use of electronic communications to deliver health care remotely.
- Telehealth has limitations, including the inability to perform physical examinations or certain diagnostic tests.
- The physician may determine that a telehealth visit is not appropriate for your condition and may recommend an in-person visit.
- You have the right to withdraw consent and discontinue a telehealth session at any time.
- The physician-patient relationship created during a telehealth visit is subject to the same professional standards as an in-person visit.
7. Payment and Fees
Fees for consultations are disclosed before you confirm a visit. Payment is due at the time of service unless otherwise specified. All payments are processed by PCI-DSS-compliant third-party payment processors. Refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Contact support@urgent-care-online.com with billing inquiries.
8. Prescriptions
Physicians may issue electronic prescriptions for non-controlled medications when clinically appropriate. Controlled substances (Schedule I–V under the Controlled Substances Act) are not prescribed through the Platform. Prescriptions are sent to your designated pharmacy. The physician retains sole clinical discretion over prescribing decisions.
9. Intellectual Property
All content, trademarks, logos, designs, text, software, and other materials on the Platform are the property of Urgent Care Online or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any Platform content without prior written permission.
10. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Provide false or misleading information during registration or consultations
- Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to access other users' accounts or private information
- Interfere with the Platform's operation or security
- Record, distribute, or share consultations without the physician's written consent
- Use automated systems or bots to access the Platform
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, URGENT CARE ONLINE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM OR SERVICES, REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF LIABILITY. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
Medical providers accessed through the Platform are independent practitioners. Urgent Care Online is not responsible for the medical advice, treatment, or prescriptions provided by these independent physicians.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Urgent Care Online, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Platform, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third party's rights.
13. Dispute Resolution
Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. If the dispute cannot be resolved within 30 days, it shall be submitted to binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. Arbitration shall take place in the state where you reside. You agree that any arbitration shall be conducted on an individual basis, and class actions or class arbitration are not permitted.
You retain the right to bring claims in small claims court if they qualify, and you retain the right to seek injunctive or equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction.
14. Modifications
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the Platform at least 30 days before taking effect. Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you disagree with any changes, you should discontinue use of the Platform.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles.
16. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
